The three golden rules of Instagram's algorithm.

Over the years, Instagram has changed drastically and these changes have impacted the way users interact and engage on the app. The algorithm has made it much more challenging for creators to reach wider audiences by limiting the reach on posts if they do not get a good amount of engagement within the first hour of posting. So now that we know how it works, it's time to use it to our own advantage! These are the three key components of Instagram's algorithm:

  1. Relationship - Your page should feel like a community! Strengthen your current relationships and connect with new people online by replying to stories, leaving meaningful comments, and sending out DM messages. It's all about networking! The more you engage with other people's accounts, the more likely the algorithm will show them your content.

  2. Interest - Users who showed interest in previous your previous content are more likely to be shown your future posts on their feed. Gain people's interest who share similarities with you. Having a specific niche will help other accounts with the same interests find your page.

  3. Timeliness - Posting at a strategic time is crucial for success. Check your insights to see what days and times your followers are most active.
